The College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at Ohio State University will hold a Western Agronomy Field Day on July 15, offering farmers, farm managers, certified crop advisors and other industry professionals an opportunity to learn more about new agronomic technologies.

9 a.m. Morning In-field Sessions

Three one-hour talks and visits in the field at the research plots presented by:

• Anne Dorrance – Reducing questionable inputs for increased profits

• John Fulton – Plant response with precision planters – seedling depth and hydraulic down pressure

• Laura Lindsey – Micronutrient Foliar Applications on Soybeans

Noon Lunch (BBQ box lunch)

1 p.m. Afternoon Wagon Tour

Four ½-hour stops will feature:

• Steve Culman – P and K Fertilization Trials in Ohio Over Nine Years

• Alex Lindsey – Cover Crop Interseeding into Emerged Corn

• Andy Michel & Ron Hammond – Issues with Seed corn maggot and Corn Rootworm

• Peter Thomison – Exploiting Hybrid x Management Interactions for Higher Yields
