If you’ve never been to a county Farm Bureau membership kickoff, there are a number of them scheduled throughout the state.

“The county membership kickoff is the best opportunity for members to learn in detail the complete value of a Farm Bureau membership, and how they and other members benefit personally as a result of being a member,” said Ohio Farm Bureau Federation Director of Member Programming Scott Donaldson.

But there’s more to county membership kickoffs than just what’s mentioned above. County Farm Bureau kickoffs are often creative, entertaining, great opportunities for socializing and sometimes even a great place to win a nice prize or two.

County kickoffs mark the start of the traditional Ohio Farm Bureau membership campaign, through which local Farm Bureau members strive to increase the strength and value of the organization by inviting more neighbors and friends into the fold.

Confused about why you should join Farm Bureau, renew your membership, or become more involved in the organization? Just talk to a member of your county Farm Bureau’s membership team at a local kickoff event.

Made completely of local volunteers, a county membership team is passionate, eager and proud to share why anybody can and does derive value and benefit from becoming a Farm Bureau member.

“Personal interaction between farmers was responsible for building the foundation upon which the Farm Bureau was built, and personal communication will be a critical element in keeping us strong in to the future,” said Donaldson, adding that in many cases, membership volunteers develop into tomorrow’s leaders of the organization.

“Growth in membership shows that this organization is alive and well,” Donaldson said. “Members accomplish more together than they could individually. And the more members we have, the more effective we are in all of our efforts on behalf of Ohio agriculture.”

Here’s a list of county Farm Bureau kickoffs.   Some of the counties have details about their events.
