Buckeye Farm News

County Farm Bureau annual meetings represent the opportunity for local farmers to gather together to affect change for themselves and their neighbors. They may discuss the need for new local polices, suggest changes to state laws or provide input on federal regulations.

This collaboration results in recommendations that eventually help shape Ohio Farm Bureau’s policy book and guides the organization on how to best work for Ohio farmers.

If you’ve never attended a county annual meeting, it’s a perfect opportunity to see the organization in action, to connect with others who believe in the way of life agriculture provides and to give your input on how Farm Bureau can find common ground that benefits you and your community.

Each farmer gets a vote on policies that may be forwarded to the statewide policy development committee. At the Ohio Farm Bureau annual meeting, farmer delegates discuss and debate how Farm Bureau can best take action on issues important to agriculture and rural Ohio.

For more than 90 years, Ohio Farm Bureau has been a strong voice for Ohio’s farmers due to the grassroots involvement of its membership and farmers’ belief that they can work together to set their own course.

With many important issues and opportunities facing the future of farming in Ohio, now is a great time to get involved.
