One of the most popular Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) member benefits is the $500 General Motors discount. Three new cars were recently added to the growing list of qualifying vehicles for this successful member benefit: The Chevrolet 2013 Malibu, Camaro ZL1 and the new Buick Verano.

In response to more than 1,000 complaints filed about increased rates, including comment from Ohio Farm Bureau, the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has disapproved of AEP's electric security plan and has ordered that rates be returned to similar levels to those in place in December 2011.

Ohio Farm Bureau has several state priority issues for 2012, but one can already be marked off the list. With bipartisan support in the Ohio House and Senate, HB 276 will be sent to the governor’s office to be signed.

When the new $500 General Motors discount for Ohio Farm Bureau members was recently announced, Pat O’Brien Chevrolet reached out to partner with the Medina County Farm Bureau. The partnership has resulted in up to a $5,000 assist to the local community through the “Farmers Feed Our Needs” program.
