More than 250 people, along with members of the media, traveled to the Nichols farm near Cygnet to listen to Dr. Temple Grandin as she presented her views on how livestock farmers should be working with the nonfarm public on animal care education.

The Ohio Livestock Coalition named five Ohio farmer as recipients of the 2011 Ohio Environmental Stewardship Award for their many accomplishments made to protect Ohio's land, air and water quality, and to preserve the state's natural resources.
