This week Ohio Farm Bureau Federation hosted staff members from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Michigan Farm Bureaus for the annual American Farm Bureau Federation Midwest Commodity Conference. These state Farm Bureau staff members, who have responsibilities involving agricultural commodities, came together in Columbus to share experiences and expertise.

The ODA is holding Certified Livestock Manager training June 19-20 at their offices in Reynoldsburg. Part of the training will address nutrient management and water quality issues currently under consideration by a statewide working group that is jointly led by ODA, Ohio EPA and ODNR.

Union County's North Union Elementary third graders visited New Day Farms in Raymond, Tuesday, on an all expense paid field trip. North Union student Emma Crusey won the field trip for her classmates when she wrote one of the winning essays in Ohio Livestock Coalition’s essay contest.

Ross County Farm Bureau will be hosting “Farm Factor,” a progressive farm dinner Grow and Know event, July 22 for an afternoon of fun and food.
