Ohio Livestock Coalition announces Annual Meeting and Industry Symposium

The Ohio Livestock Coalition will hold its 13th Annual Meeting and Industry Symposium on April 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the All Occasions Catering and Banquet Center in Waldo. The symposium will feature four speakers who will cover a variety of topics and issues facing animal agriculture.

Resolution opposes EPA regulation of greenhouse gases

Arkansas Democratic Sen. Blanche Lincolnís support for a resolution to disapprove the Environmental Protection Agencyís effort to regulate greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act could not have come at a better time and reflects true bipartisan concern, according to AFBF President Bob Stallman.

Legislation would restore SWCD funds

SWCD funding was significantly cut last year to balance the stateís budget. Language in Senate Bill 155 directs a portion of the stateís existing fee on the sale of new tires to help restore funding to local SWCDs.
