Survey sheds light on food purchasing habits

Consumer confidence in food safety is at its highest point in seven years, with 88 percent of shoppers 'completely' or 'somewhat' confident in the safety of food at the supermarket, according to the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) U.S. Grocery Shopper Trends report released earlier this month.

T-shirts with positive messages about agriculture raise funds for food bank

Members of Ohio Farm Bureau's Young Agricultural Professionals State Committee presented a check to Dana Ward of the Mid Ohio Food Bank in February. The committee raised $2,850 through the sale of t-shirts that carried positive messages about agriculture. The shirts were sold online and during the group's winter conference.
