The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) has announced its plan to write Ohioís laws on livestock care.

Four Ohioans who have committed their lives to working in, promoting and advocating for Ohioís agriculture industry will be honored Friday, August 7, 2009 by the Ohio Agricultural Council (OAC), when they are inducted to the Ohio Agricultural Hall of Fame.
According to the Animal Agriculture Alliance, a watchdog for the livestock industry, attacks on the global food chain from animal rights and environmental extremists jumped 42 percent -- from 155 in 2007 to 220 in 2008.
