COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) - The Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) has announced its 42nd consecutive year of membership growth, reaching a record 235,064 members. This is an increase of 1,003 members since 2008.

The Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation (Foundation) is holding its fifth annual Rural – Urban Community Auction Nov. 2 through Dec. 2 to support its Community Grantsmanship and scholarship programs.

Multiple $1,000 to $3,000 grants support porgrams and projects focusing on agricultural education, environmental and/or economic development in Ohio communities. Forms must be received by Nov. 15.

A $3,000 grant from the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation is helping break down barriers that are keeping farmers from accessing markets and consumers from fresh local foods. Rural Action will use the funds to purchase a truck to be part of a food distribution system.
