Do you know someone who has positively developed or enhanced relationships between neighbors in Ohio’s farm communities? The Ohio Livestock Coalition (OLC), in partnership with OFBF, is now accepting nominations for the 2011 Neighbor of the Year awards.

In Northeast Ohio, as part of this year’s membership campaign, each county Farm Bureau in the region donated $100 to establish a $2,000 membership renewal promotion. In Paulding County, $2,500 was awarded as part of Farm Bureau's Property Protection program.

a series of Agricultural Action and Awareness Grants for the 2011 program year.

Fairfield and Funton County Farm Bureaus were recognized by American Farm Bureau for innovative new program ideas in the 2011 County Activities of Excellence program. They were among 15 local Farm Bureaus selected nationally to share their successful efforts in an exhibit at AFBF’s annual meeting.
Ohio’s government continues to see new faces in leadership positions as a result of last November’s election and Gov. John Kasich’s cabinet appointments.
