Members of Ohio Farm Bureau's second AgriPOWER class

Twenty-two Ohioans interested in becoming future leaders, advocates and activists for Ohio agriculture have been selected by Ohio Farm Bureau Federation to participate in its AgriPOWER program, which was launched last year as an elite training program for farmers and agribusiness professionals.
The 20 Ohioans in AgriPOWER's third class.

Less than one month after the Portage County Farm Bureau membership campaign kick-off, Bruce Patterson has signed 10 new members and more than 30 membership renewals. Bruce uses an approach that is a blend of local action, state and national advocacy and a need for strong viable farms.

Ohio Farm Bureau members recognize policy development as one of the most important grassroots activities within Farm Bureau. This week, Farm Bureau members’ voices are being heard at the national level during American Farm Bureau’s commodity advisory committee meetings.
