COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) - The Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) has announced its 42nd consecutive year of membership growth, reaching a record 235,064 members. This is an increase of 1,003 members since 2008.

The Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) was among 25 state Farm Bureaus that received national recognition at the annual American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) Public Relations Conference in Denver this week. In fact, OFBF led all states with eight first-place awards and seven honorable mentions.

This week Ohio Farm Bureau Federation hosted staff members from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Michigan Farm Bureaus for the annual American Farm Bureau Federation Midwest Commodity Conference. These state Farm Bureau staff members, who have responsibilities involving agricultural commodities, came together in Columbus to share experiences and expertise.

Twenty-two Ohioans interested in becoming future leaders, advocates and activists for Ohio agriculture have been selected by Ohio Farm Bureau Federation to participate in its AgriPOWER program, which was launched last year as an elite training program for farmers and agribusiness professionals.
