The Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) and the National Tractor Pullers Association (NTPA) are teaming up in a new partnership that includes discounts and promotions for OFBF members.

Five of Ohio's top conservation farm families for 2012 were recognized during a ceremony at Farm Science Review in London Sept. 20 for their long-standing dedication to natural resource conservation on their farms. The annual Conservation Farm Family Award is sponsored by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ (ODNR) Division of Soil and Water Resources, Ohio Farmer magazine and Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF).

Ohio farmer and Franklin County Farm Bureau member Lisa Schacht of Schacht Family Farm and Market testified before the House Agriculture Committee’s Subcommittee on Nutrition and Horticulture during a hearing held to receive input on agricultural programs in preparation for writing the 2012 Farm Bill.
