Ohio Agricultural Environmental Assurance Alliance

The Ohio Agricultural Environmental Assurance Alliance (OAEAA), a public-private partnership was established for the purpose of developing an Environmental Self - Assessment program for Ohio's agricultural and horticultural commodities and the lands on which they are grown. The environmental self-assessment program incorporates the concepts of CORE 4 Conservation (better soil, cleaner water, greater profits, and brighter future). It is designed to evaluate three natural resource concerns:
(1) solid loss to surface water,
(2) transport of nutrients and pesticides to surface water and
(3) transport of nutrients and pesticides to ground water.

Vision Statement
To develop and implement a multi-faceted education-based program for all of Ohio's agricultural commodities that advocates incorporating components from a system of conservatio practices to meet local environmental, economic and operational objectives. Agricultural producers participating in the program will realize:

  • Better Soil

  • Cleaner Water

  • Greater Profits

  • Brighter Future

Mission Statement
The Agricultural Environmental Assurance Alliance, a Core 4 Conservation Alliance and public and private partnership, provides agricultural producers the opportunity to achieve environmental health and economic viability.

Members of the Alliance are: Agricultural Conservation Innovation Center, Conservation Technology Information Center, Land Stewards, Monsanto, Ohio AgriBusiness Association, Ohio Certified Crop Adviser Program, Ohio Corn Growers, Ohio Department of Agricultrue, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, Ohio Fruit Growers, Ohio No-Till Council, Ohio Soybean Association and Ohio Soybean Council, OSU Extension, Ohio Vegetable and Potato Growers, Syngenta Crop Protection and USDA's Natural Resource Conservation Service.
