Farm Bureau has long been an organization that capitalized on the power of working together. It is through the collaborative efforts that we achieve our individual and organizational goals. To this end each county Farm Bureau has a standing Public Policy committee that has at its core the functions listed below:

• Local Policy Advancement Program
  To accomplish the objects outlined in organization policy county Farm Bureau members must work together to develop a coherent strategy.

• Legislative Action Program
  To be effective, members must work with state and national lobbying staff to communicate with their legislators to familiarize them with Farm Bureaus' position on any given piece of legislation.

• Political Action Program
  To achieve the policy goals of the Farm Bureau, members must establish relationships with their elective officials at all levels. The best way to develop these relationships is to help the officials get elected.
