During a visit to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Chuck Conner told the presidents that at least a one-year extension of the current bill would be needed if a compromise cannot be reached. In Capitol Hill offices, the county presidents met with their representatives to encourage action on issues important to Ohio agriculture. The group also toured American Farm Bureau Federation’s (AFBF) Washington headquarters and visited the Egyptian, Japanese and Ukrainian embassies.
