Scott and Jamie Metzger Scott, Jamie and Dalton Metzger live in Pickaway County. Scott is a fifth generation farmer while Jamie is a high school science teacher at Chillicothe High School. Jamie and Scott are both graduates of The Ohio State University. The Metzger’s son, Dalton, attends kindergarten at Adena Elementary. They are expecting their second child in March. The Metzger’s farming operation is a cash grain/livestock operation. They farm 3,200 acres of corn, wheat and soybeans. They use no-till and minimal till situations in their operation. Also, the operation includes 125 head of cattle that are fed out in their feedlot every year. In addition, the family has other entities in their operation including a trucking company and ownership of some residential and commercial real estate. The entire family is involved in the operation, but Scott, his uncle, Cooke Metzger and his cousin, Randy Metzger, run the daily operations of the Metzger Farm. | |
