Workers CompensationIn 2007, Farm Bureau employers saved more than $40 million in workers’ compensation premium savings through GatesMcDonald, a subsidiary of Nationwide. GatesMcDonald has more than 75 years experience in workers’ compensation. Farm Bureau members can participate in any of three services offered.  Enables small employers to combine claim expenses and rate calculations to take advantage of premium savings currently reserved for large employers. Savings generally range from 25 to 85 percent per year. A dedicated service team provides expertise in cost containment stragegies. Employers not participating in the Group Rating Program may also obtain GatesMcDonald's services to assist them with their Ohio Workers' Compensation program. Services include claims management and manual classification review and savings opportunites.
