Ohio State Names Building for Nationwide Chairman The Ohio State University and Nationwide Insurance honored Nationwide Board Chairman Arden Shisler with the opening of a new facility bearing his name on the campus of Ohio State's Agricultural Technical Institute (ATI) in Wooster. Shisler served on the OFBF board of trustees before being elected to the Nationwide board in 1984. The Arden Shisler Center for Education and Economic Development is a state-of-the-art conference center that opened with a dedication ceremony honoring Shisler for his leadership with Ohio State and its agricultural programs throughout the state. The $4 million center will be used as a meeting site for businesses, trade organizations, community groups, educational institutions and professional associations seeking to achieve economic success through education. Shisler serves on the advisory committee for ATI. He was vice president of OFBF’s board and president of the Ohio Agricultural Marketing Association, a Farm Bureau subsidiary. | |
