Two Elected To State Board
Gary Baldosser, District 6 and Steve Hirsch, District 15 Two Ohio farmers have been elected to the OFBF State Board of Trustees. Gary Baldosser of Republic in Seneca County will represent Farm Bureau members from Hardin, Hancock, Seneca and Wyandot counties. Steve Hirsch of Chillicothe in Ross County will represent Farm Bureau members from Fairfield, Hocking, Pickaway and Ross counties. Both were elected in special elections to fill vacant board seats. Baldosser currently serves as chairman of the American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmer and Rancher Committee. He was president of Seneca County Farm Bureau and served on the OFBF state policy development committee. He and his wife, Becky, have been active in OFBF Young Farmer programs. Baldosser has a degree in agricultural economics from Ohio State University. He and his wife farm with his parents and produce corn, soybeans, wheat and freezer beef. They also operate a custom lime spreading business. The Baldossers are the parents of two sons. Hirsch has been active in Ross County Farm Bureau, having served as president, county trustee, chairman of the safety, membership and government affairs committees. He also was involved with budget, audit, annual meeting and promotion and education committee work. A graduate of the University of Dayton with a degree in business administration, Hirsch farms with his father and cousin. They raise apples, peaches, grapes, strawberries, raspberries and other produce. They operate an on-farm retail market and a cider processing facility. Hirsch and his wife, Kimberly, are the parents of two sons. | |||
