AFBF Annual Meeting in Reno The 2002 American Farm Bureau Federation annual meeting will showcase "Grassroots Voices … Global Vision" when Farm Bureau members from throughout the United States gather from Jan. 5 to 9, 2002 in Reno, Nev. Highlights will include the Young Farmer and Rancher Discussion Meet, Outstanding Young Farmer and Rancher Contest, Gold Star presentations to state Farm Bureaus for outstanding program achievement and the delegate policy sessions. Conference subjects include conservation, crops outlook, dairy outlook, leadership development, livestock outlook, 2002 Farm Bill, 2002 election outlook, energy outlook, safety and Farm Bureau priority issues. President George W. Bush has been invited to address convention participants during the General Session on Jan. 7. Convention registration is $50 per person; air transportation and hotel arrangements must be made separately and can be arranged through World Travel Partners (WTP). Final payments must be made to WTP by Dec. 3.World Travel Partners, (formerly People’s Travel), has several convention travel packages available: $202 per person, double occupancy; $379 per person, single occupancy. Packages include accommodations for four nights at the Reno Hilton, baggage handling at the hotel and hotel taxes.
