Scholarships AvailableThe Monsanto and American Farm Bureau Commitment to Agriculture Scholarships of $1,500 each are available to 100 high school seniors from farming families who plan to pursue agricultural careers. Applicants are evaluated on their high school records, standardized test results, extracurricular and leadership activities and personal essays. The awards were initiated in 1999 and are made possible by a Monsanto grant to the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture. The scholarship program is administered by the National FFA, but neither FFA nor Farm Bureau membership are requirements to apply. The application deadline is Feb. 15, 2002.
