Counties Show Off Programs

The three areas in the state were well represented at the Hospitality Corner at this year’s annual meeting. Mahoning County, Pioneer Area; Marion County, Buckeye Area; and Athens County, River Valley Area, all had booths featuring programs presented in their counties.

Mahoning County featured the quality assurance program. The booth showed how youth learn the proper way to care for animals and become good spokesmen for agriculture.

Marion County shared photos of its Safety Day, where fifth graders learn about everything from water safety to tractor safety.

Athens County featured its "Farm Safety Just For Kids," where parents and children learn about deadly lookalikes. For example, Pine-Sol looks like Gatorade and Advil looks like M&M’s.
