Faces Kevin Elder Elder is the first administrator of this new program at Ohio Department of Agriculture. He brings more than 25 years of experience in working with environmentally sound agricultural practices. His initial work was with an advisory committee developing regulations for the program to permit the state’s largest livestock and poultry farms. These new rules will govern construction and operations. Elder previously worked at Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Soil and Water Conservation. Previously he was a district technician and district program administrator at the Fairfield Soil and Water Conservation District. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University, with dual majors in animal science and agricultural education. He currently resides on his seventh generation family farm in Fairfield County and is in partnership with his brother and father. Kevin and his wife, Kathy, have three children. | |
