Constance Cullman Jackson
Vice President of Agricultural Ecology

Constance Cullman Jackson is currently the Vice President of Agricultural Ecology for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation. The Agricultural Ecology team plans, develops and implements programs and activities for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation that address the issues of the membership and the general public concerning economics, communities and the environment in agriculture and rural communities. This includes training and education of staff, volunteer leaders, members and concerned citizens on how these disciplines are part of agriculture and our way of life. She analyzes and delivers economic programming concerning farm policy and programs, farm income, regulations, biotechnology, and international trade. Jackson represents Ohio agriculture at multilateral trade discussions including the WTO’s 5th and 6th Trade Ministerials.

Jackson earned her B.S. and M.S. from The Ohio State University in Agricultural Economics. She specialized in marketing and agribusiness as an undergraduate and in international trade and policy during her master’s program. Previously Jackson served as the Director of Regulatory Affairs for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation coordinating member involvement in federal and state regulatory issues affecting agriculture. She monitored current and pending regulations impacting the agricultural industry, interfaced with agency decision-makers, and delivered educational programming about regulations. From 1992 to 1997 Jackson conducted research and outreach activities for the Ohio State University Extension. She worked in the areas of livestock production and marketing, cooperatives, and the use of emerging technologies to enhance agricultural income. She assisted Ohio's dairy and beef industries in strategically planning for their industries' futures and co-authored a series of studies measuring the impact of agriculture on Ohio's major metropolitan areas.

Jackson is Co-Chair of the Ohio Council on Economic Education Board, a Trustee of the Mid-American Cooperatives Council, whose predecessor recognized her with the 1998 Cooperative Education Award, and serves on the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center Research Committee. She is a member of the Ohio Agricultural Council, American Agricultural Economics Association, and OSU Alumni Association. The OSU College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences recognized her with the Outstanding Young Professional Achievement Award in 2001. She has served on the board of the Friends of the Grandview Heights Library, volunteered as a 4-H Advisor for five years and is an active supporter of the FFA. In 2002, Jackson was named as a recipient of Business First’s 2002 Forty Under 40 Award for career excellence and community leadership in Central Ohio. In 2005, Jackson spent three weeks in Germany studying European agriculture as an American Council on Germany McCloy Fellow.
