Faces Mike Shoemaker
Mike Shoemaker served 14 years in the Ohio House of Representatives before being appointed to the Ohio Senate in 1997. He won his first full four-year term in 1998. He is the ranking minority member of the agriculture and education committees and serves on the state and local government and veterans affairs committees. He earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Capital University. He taught high school for 10 years and then entered his current profession of home construction. He is active in local civic and education organizations as well as the United Methodist Church. He and his wife, Vicki, are the parents of two grown children and have two grandchildren. | |
