Profiles Volunteer Duane and Kimberly Moff of Berlin Center have been dedicated volunteers to the Mahoning County Farm Bureau, serving on several different committees and holding county offices. In 1997 they were the Northeast Region Outstanding Young Farm Couple and the Mahoning County Outstanding Farm Couple. They were members of the OFBF Young Farmer Committee in 1998-99 and were the OFBF Young Farmer chaircouple in 1999. The Moffs were selected as AFBF Program Idea Exchange Participants for AFBF Conventions in 1999, 2000 and 2001. They are members of the Friends & Neighbors Advisory Council. Duane is the public affairs chairman and vice president of the Farm Bureau county board. Kim is the promotion and education chair and has been the county secretary. The couple has also represented Mahoning County as delegates to OFBF annual meeting. "Farming is not just an occupation, it is our way of life. We raise a variety of products on our farm, but the most precious that we raise are our children, and what better life to give them than on the farm," Kim said. The Moffs raise hay, grain, specialty crops, sweet corn, pumpkins, pygmy goats, kinder goats, rabbits and custom beef. They are the parents of Kristina, 12; Justin, 8; and Tyler, 2. | |
