River Valley Region - Clermont County Farm Bureau Salute to Leaders Clermont County Farm Bureau was rewarded for its contributions to the rural interest in the county. During the Clermont 2001 Inc.’s Salute to Leaders, Clermont County Farm Bureau was recognized for its dedication to improving the rural standards of living through education. "This is very exciting," said Paul Lyons, OFBF River Valley area supervisor. "Receiving this award shows all of the hard work that our volunteers and board put into the programs and projects Farm Bureau offers." The county FB was honored for its efforts to make children’s literature about agriculture available in all local schools and libraries. Clermont County FB also created informational displays at malls, the county fair and grocery stores regarding the safety and affordability of food. To promote safety, Clermont County FB organizes agriculture-related accident training to firefighters and EMTs. The young farmer programs were also considered for the award. | |
