AWARE Field Training Set

County agricultural ecology coordinators are encouraged to monitor the quality of the waterways close to their farms through OFBF’s Agricultural Watershed Awareness and Resource Evaluation (AWARE) program this summer.

Hands-on training will be offered in May through August throughout the state where coordinators learn how to use OFBF’s water quality monitoring kits. The kits have been developed and distributed to each county FB office.

"Training will be hands-on, in-the-stream workshops on how to use the kits," said Larry Antosch, OFBF director of environmental research. "By continually collecting information about the quality of Ohio’s waterways, we will create a usable and reliable database."
