Dale Dietrich
Monroe County

As a 30-year member of Ohio Farm Bureau, Dale Dietrich of New Matamoras says getting positive results is what keeps him volunteering for Farm Bureau in Monroe County.

Dietrich believes in the efforts of Farm Bureau at the national, state and county levels. He has worked with national legislators, state legislators and county commissioners on behalf of Farm Bureau and said the effectiveness of our grassroots organization is incredible.

Dietrich is a past president of Monroe County Farm Bureau and will again take over the reigns as president in 2002-2003. He has also served as vice president. During his membership, he has served on the safety, marketing and government affairs committees. He has been a delegate to OFBF annual meeting for more than 10 years and has served twice on the state policy development committee.

Dietrich recently completed training to become a biotech spokesperson. He found the training worthwhile and looks forward to talking to different groups about biotechnology.

On his farm, Dietrich raises forage for off-farm sales. He also works at Bayer as a mechanic.

He is the farm representative for his local Chamber of Commerce and serves as a township trustee. He is a member of his local Baptist church. He has three children and five grandchildren.
