Profiles Staff Jeff Watkins began his career with Ohio Farm Bureau in 1982 as an organization director for Morgan, Muskingum, Perry and Washington counties. From 1984 to 1993, he served as southeast regional supervisor. He moved into the state office in 1993 as the director of membership activities. In 1996, he was named to his current position as vice president of field services. "When I started with Farm Bureau 20 years ago I had no idea this would become my career," Watkins said. "I think the big attraction for me has been the quality of the people I get to work with. Both our staff and our members make my job very enjoyable!" Prior to coming to OFBF, Watkins worked as a legislative aid to state Rep. Tom Fries and taught for two years in the Mansfield Madison School District. Watkins graduated from Ashland University with a bachelor’s degree in education. He and his wife, Pamela, have two children, Rachel and Clay, and are members of Centenary United Methodist Church in Granville. | |
