Profiles Staff Deering Dyer recently changed roles at Ohio Farm Bureau. He was named director of political education in May. In this role, Dyer is responsible for the management of grassroots political involvement programs; conducting and managing education programs for members; volunteer development for OFBF political education, policy development and government affairs activities; candidate evaluations, OFBF's political action committee and assisting with program development. Prior to this change, Dyer was the director of local affairs. He began his OFBF career in 1996 as the organization director for Crawford, Marion, Morrow and Richland counties. "I enjoy working with our membership on government affairs issues because Farm Bureau leaders make being involved a priority and that really makes the difference when it comes to our success as an organization," Dyer said. He holds a bachelor of science degree in agribusiness and applied economics from The Ohio State University. During his college career he was the College of Agriculture representative in University Student Government. Dyer and his wife, Jean, are members of the Main Street United Methodist Church in Mansfield. | |
