Faces Gene Jackson Gene Jackson serves as executive director of the Ohio Rural Development Partnership (ORDP), an organization charged with improving the quality of life in rural Ohio. ORDP was formed in 1992 because of a cooperative agreement between the governor and the president. The agency is jointly supported by the Ohio and United States departments of agriculture. Prior to coming to the Ohio Rural Development Partnership, Jackson was the president and chief executive officer of Mr.GreenGene's & Co Inc. He also was involved in management with the First Knox National Bank and territory sales manager with Best Foods Division, CPC International of Chicago. Jackson also served eight years as a township trustee for Liberty Township, Knox County. He holds a bachelor's degree from the College of Wooster. He and his wife, Debra, have two children. | |
