Nominations Due for Certified Crop Adviser AwardNominations for Ohio’s inaugural Excellence in Crop Advising Award are due to county Farm Bureau offices by Aug. 15. The award will honor one Certified Crop Adviser for offering service above and beyond the call of duty to crop producers throughout Ohio. The honor will be presented during this year’s Farm Science Review near London. The Review is scheduled for Sept. 17 to 19 at the Molly Caren Agricultural Center at the intersection of U.S. 40 and St. Rt. 38 in Madison County. The American Farm Bureau has worked for several years with the American Society of Agronomy to offer the Excellence in Crop Advising Award, but this is the first year the program has been used in Ohio. The award program is designed to inform crop producers about the benefits of using Certified Crop Advisers and to recognize the impact CCAs have on production agriculture. More information about the CCA program is available through a link on the OFBF Web site at www.ofbf.org under Featured Links. Nomination materials are available at county FB offices, on the OFBF Web site or by contacting Amy Hurst at 614-249-1775. | |
