Ohioans Participate in Watershed Heroes Conference Nine Ohioans participated in the seventh Watershed Heroes Field Training Workshop and Conference in June in St. Peter, Minn. The conference combined hands-on and lecture presentations to give participants a better idea of what producers go through when making decisions about their cropland. OFBF Director of State Environmental Research Larry Antosch was team leader for the Buckeye State, which included (l to r) Jason Parker, William Knapke, Deana Hudgins, Mitch Cattrell, Margaret Bailey, Jim Cullman, Julie Jackson, Chuck Miller and Antosch. Participants will continue to receive e-mail updates on plots throughout the coming year from American Farm Bureau, which coordinated the program. The conference gave participants an introduction to cutting edge technology and innovative techniques for protecting the water supply in agricultural watersheds. (OFBF Photo) | |
