Faces Priscilla D. Mead Sen. Priscilla Mead, R-Columbus, is serving her first term in the Ohio Senate. She serves as vice chairman of the Ways and Means Committee and chairman of the subcommittee on pensions. She also sits on many committees including Highways and Transportation; Economic Development; Technology and Aerospace; Judiciary Committee on Criminal Justice; State and Local Government; and Veterans Affairs. In addition, Mead is a member of the Ohio Bicentennial Commission, the Ohio Arts Council, the Ohio Commemorative Quarter Program Committee, the Ohio Retirement Study Council and the Legislative Information System Committee. Mead served as a state representative for four terms, was mayor of Upper Arlington, a council member and on numerous community boards and commissions. She attended Upper Arlington Public Schools and The Ohio State University. She and her husband, John, are parents of four children and grandparents of six. | |
