Bill Hershner
Morrow County

Bill Hershner said he’s been a member of the Morrow County Farm Bureau for "almost forever," and he has been an active member for several years.

Hershner currently serves as vice president of the Morrow County Farm Bureau board. He also has worked as membership co-chair and has served on the policy development committee.

"I thoroughly believe Farm Bureau is the strongest organization we have left. Other (farm organizations) have fizzled in this state," Hershner said. "I think to keep Farm Bureau strong we need to get more young people involved. The young farmers are going to have to carry on the strong tradition of Farm Bureau."

Hershner raises beef cattle, dairy heifers, breeding ewes and show chickens.

He has been a 4-H adviser for 45 years, and he is the treasurer for the Morrow County Crippled Children and Adults Organization.

He and his wife, Maxine, reside in Mt. Gilead and are members of the Mt. Gilead Church of Christ.
