OFBF to Host Study Tour to Cuba

OFBF members are invited to participate in a study tour to Cuba, March14 to 21, 2003. The tour is designed to help farmers learn more about the dynamics of international trade and the implications of a renewed United States – Cuba relationship.

Tour participants will visit various Cuban enterprises including farms, port facilities, cooperatives, processing facilities and others. Meetings with Cuban government officials, farmers and businesspersons will also take place.

County Farm Bureaus, through their trustees, can nominate and/or sponsor individuals to participate in the study tour. Cost is approximately $2,800. Space is limited and is available on a first-come, first served basis. Initial deposits and registration forms are due Nov. 1.

The tour is being presented in cooperation with the Columbus Council of World Affairs. For more information, contact Amy Hurst at 614-249-2400 or ahurst@ofbf.org.
