Value of your Farm Bureau membership keeps growing

For a family of four, savings can add up to more than $6,200

As new membership benefits are added to those currently offered, the value of your membership in the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation continues to grow. For a family of four using average estimates, savings can add up to more than $6,200.

"Our estimates are by no means scientific, but they are realistic," said Dan Rapp, OFBF director of member services. "Just comparing the savings versus the annual membership dues, we think a membership in the Ohio Farm Bureau is an exceptional value."

Just a few of the savings include:

  • Nationwide Insurance -- auto: for two vehicles with full coverage, average savings can be about $154 a year; home: typical annual savings amount to $60
  • Workers’ Compensation Group Rating Program -- participating agricultural employers have an average of $2,500 per year
  • Dodge -- $500 cash back on any new eligible vehicle
  • AgriVisor -- members access free use of AgriVisor, a $299 annual savings
  • Vehicle Sales and Leasing -- through NFS/QAL, members can save $780 throughout the lease period
  • AgriPlan/BizPlan -- $1,600 average savings for participating farms and businesses
  • Grainger -- $75 per year based on average annual purchases
  • Farm Bureau Bank -- an average of $55 based on lower interest rates, interest rebates and a no-fee credit card
  • Cingular Wireless -- $54 per year based on a 250-minute home rate plan
  • Ohio Historical Society -- $4 membership discount
  • Sherwin Williams -- $30
  • Vision Care -- $40

"These are just a few of the many benefits members get when they pay their annual dues," Rapp said. Renewal notices will be sent to current OFBF members at the beginning of November. Members who renew before Dec. 31 will retain the maximum benefit on their Accidental Death and Dismemberment policy. If you have questions about the benefits of your OFBF membership, contact your county Farm Bureau or Rapp at drapp@ofbf.org or 614-246-8272.
