County Farm Bureaus continue to donate

Nineteen county Farm Bureaus have now donated to the Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center. The counties have pledged 50 cents per member for five years toward the goal of $1 million for the center. At press time, counties had raised $146,237.50.

The 4-H center will be a facility for youth, adult volunteers, community organizations and all other Ohio State University partners. The center will serve as the home of Ohio 4-H and provide research, teaching resources and service opportunities.

Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) pledged a combined $3 million challenge grant, matching $1 for every $2 raised by 4-H members and volunteers. This is in addition to an initial pledge of $1 million from OFBF and $2 million from Nationwide.

To date, Ashland, Clinton, Erie, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Highland, Hocking, Huron, Jefferson, Knox, Licking, Lorain, Marion, Medina, Pickaway, Ross, Tuscarawas and Wayne counties have contributed.
