Faces Dr. Keith L. Smith Keith Smith is director of Extension and associate dean of the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at Ohio State University, along with serving aas associate vice president. He is responsible for all Extension operations including budget development and management, legislative contacts on resources and programs, personnel policy development and coordination with other agencies. He also interacts with the university and community at large as a representative of the vice president. Additionally, he is a professor in the Department of Human and Community Resource Development at Ohio State. A native of Utah, Smith received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in agricultural education from Utah State University. He received his doctorate in agricultural education from Iowa State University. He began his career in 1973 as an agriculture science teacher and later spent two years as a vocational agriculture teacher. He has authored numerous articles and papers in the areas of leadership, teaching and program development. | |
