Faces Dr. Steve Slack Steve Slack has been with Ohio State University since 1999 as associate vice president for Agricultural Administration and director of the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC). In 1975, he joined the faculty of the Plant Pathology Department at the University of Wisconsin at Madison and in 1988 he joined the Cornell University faculty as the Henry and Mildred Uihlein Professor of Plant Pathology and was department chair from 1995 to 1999. He is a fellow and past president of the American Phytopathological Society, and is an honorary life member and past president of the Potato Association of America. In 1996, he received the Outstanding Alumnus award from the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences at the University of Arkansas. Slack received his bachelor and master degrees from the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville and his Ph.D. from the University of California - Davis. | |
