Profiles Staff David White has a varied job at Ohio Farm Bureau. As the director of commodity activities, he works with state commodity groups, develops local commodity programs and commodity activities with the Department of Agriculture, Ohio State University and OSU Extension. He also represents OFBF on public and industry boards and councils. White is also the executive director of the Ohio Livestock Coalition (OLC). "I enjoy working with Farm Bureau members to visualize the challenges and opportunities of the future," White said. "I particularly enjoy teaching and coordinating OLC’s Livestock Environmental Assurance Program, which has provided me the opportunity to meet and work with more than 4,000 livestock farmers in Ohio." Prior to these positions, he was the organization director for Franklin and Delaware counties from 1992 to1997 and the OD for Defiance, Paulding, Putnam and Van Wert counties from 1989 to 1992. Before coming to OFBF, he was a high school agricultural education instructor and FFA adviser in Knightstown, Ind. He and his wife, Rachelle, reside in Worthington. | |
