AFBF Young Farmer and Rancher Committee visited Ohio Each year the AFBF Young Farmer and Rancher Committee chooses the location of its mid-year planning session by traveling to the home state of the chair of the committee. Gary Baldosser, far right, was chair of the committee, so the group met in Toledo in November, 2001. Besides meeting and planning, the 14 AFBF representatives met with Dodge in Detroit to discuss Dodge and Young Farmer cooperatives. Tracee Swank, center, president of Lucas County Farm Bureau, led the group on a tour of The Andersons. Participants watched grain being loaded onto a barge and saw the process of GMO testing. Members were given a first-hand look at COSI on Wheels and were able to partake in some of the hands-on demonstrations.
