The Readers WriteEditor, Our Farm Bureau council suggests that all railroad cars have a strip of reflecting paint as long as the (rail) car. In our county we have many real dark roads and you cannot see the dark cars on the tracks. I’m sure it would not be as costly as settling an accident where people got injured or even killed. Farmers can not go on the road without their reflecting signs. I’m sure that has saved lives. If (marking rail cars) would save one life, it would be well worth it.
