Sign six members, spend a day in Amish Country Ohio Farm Bureau Director of Membership Activities Mike Fearon announced a membership promotion to propel the organization to its 36th consecutive year of membership gain. From March 15 to May 15, members who sign six members, new or renewal, qualify themselves and their spouse or guest for a daylong tour of Amish Country in Holmes County on June 28. According to Fearon, qualifying members will be privileged to learn about Amish life in a way most tourists are not. Pioneer Region Supervisor Ken Walter is organizing the event, which includes an Amish wedding luncheon in an Amish home, followed by a guided tour when Amish weddings, church services, funerals, schools and family life will be discussed. The only part of the day winners are responsible for is their transportation to and from Holmes County. Arrangements are being made to reserve a block of rooms at a local motel. If trip winners wish to stay, it will be at their own cost. Submit your memberships to your organization director, Fearon said. Additional tour details will be announced through your organization director and future issues of Buckeye Farm News. | |
