Foundation golf outing sponsorships available The Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation is hosting its second annual Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation Invitational June 9 at The Country Club at Muirfield Village in Dublin. Last year’s event was a huge success, and the golf field filled up early, according to event coordinator David Rule. More than $16,000 was raised for the foundation. There are various sponsorship opportunities for this year's event. Sponsorship closes May 23. The golf outing is an opportunity to connect friends of Ohio agriculture, raise awareness of the foundation and its goals and benefit the foundation. Bobby Moser, dean of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at Ohio State University is this year's honoree. For more information on sponsorship opportunities or to register for the golf outing, contact Rule, OFBF director of technology and staff development, at 614-246-8210 or e-mail drule@ofbf.org. The foundation was established in 1985 and is committed to community improvement through its support of special projects that focus on agricultural education, environmental and economic issues. Currently, the foundation provides scholarships to college students through the Darwin Bryan scholarship fund, and has received numerous grants to support special projects around the state. | |
