Ohio farmers are getting innovativeMost Ohio farmers seem to be looking for a new way to make their operations a little more profitable. Buckeye Farm News would like to highlight those members who are doing innovative things to increase their bottom lines. Starting in the next issue, a periodic series will begin appearing on Page 5, the Marketing and Production section. The first article will feature information from a seminar held in Darke County on how Agritourism is becoming a more popular way for some farmers to add to their income. But, we’re looking for more story ideas! Are you or do you know of a Farm Bureau member in Ohio who is doing a little extra to create a niche market? Or how about the farmer who has started growing a totally different crop to meet a specific consumer need? To submit a story idea featuring your or a friend’s farm, contact Susie Taylor at 614-246-8235 or e-mail staylor@ofbf.org | |
