Ohio's livestock industry is vital to Ohio's economy. It provides a market for grain producers, value-added food processing opportunities and in some cases, partnerships between large and small livestock operations. In the May/June Our Ohio, readers will learn of the relationship between a large hog farm and its surrounding community, including a smaller farm that partners on a contract basis.
