Daughters of American Agriculture offers scholarshipsThe Daughters of American Agriculture (DAA) scholarship was created to honor the memory of pioneer women who played an important role in the founding of this nation and to encourage today's young women to continue their education in agricultural pursuits.
The DAA Foundation provides $500 scholarships to farm, ranch and agribusiness women or their daughters in two categories: high school graduates ages 18 to 23 and the Sister Thomas More Bertels scholarship to women age 24 and older.
To qualify, applicants must be a farmer or the wife, daughter or other close relative of a farmer or someone employed in agriculture. Grade point average or test placement is considered. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition for recognized courses in agriculture leadership, technology, communications, education, rural sociology, medicine or other courses directly related to agriculture and the needs of the agricultural community.
